The beginning of the 2025–2026 year was marked by a new chapter for our community in the Holy Land. Divine Providence reserved September 15 so that the seven consecrated women who currently live here could be together in Migdal, Galilee, and celebrate what we consider one of the most significant moments of God’s gift during these 21 years of presence in the Holy Land: the first Mass in our own house.
After nearly five months of renovation work to make the house functional, we wanted to formally begin our life there with a moment of thanksgiving to God and to all the people who made it possible. Fr. Daniel Reynolds, L.C., accompanied us on that day. We prayed together, asking for the intercession of Our Lady of Sorrows. We prepared the hymns, gathered flowers from the garden to decorate the chapel, and spent time in community adoration.
We also recalled with gratitude the moment when, weeks earlier, Fr. Rodrigo Serrano, L.C., walked through the house, sprinkling holy water in each room and speaking words of blessing and prosperity for all the consecrated women who today and in the future will pass through this home.
To Our Lady of Sorrows, Mother and Model for each one of us, we entrust the moments of fraternity, prayer, rest, and work that we will live in this space, which we hope will be a welcoming home and a place where God is glorified.
