Step into a space where art becomes prayer and beauty invites contemplation.
In the intimate setting of their home on Pinecrest Academy’s campus in Cumming, Georgia, the Consecrated Women of Regnum Christi are welcoming the public to an immersive and inspiring exhibition: “Light from Light.” This unique art show features the original artwork of Gaetane Auger, an artist and Consecrated Woman of Regnum Christi, whose works span five years and include oil paintings, watercolors, and soft pastels.

“Light from Light” is not merely an art display—it is designed to be a gentle, spiritual journey, and a guided encounter with beauty. Visitors will first be invited into the chapel to rest in silence or participate in a brief guided meditation. Here, three featured pieces will be presented alongside the poems that inspired them, encouraging guests to slow down and “see with the heart.”
The tour will continue into the community’s dining room, transformed into a vibrant watercolor gallery showcasing more than 30 pieces. Each artwork is a testament to Auger’s exploration of light—in nature, in hope, and in moments where grace becomes visible.
The exhibition is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and offers guided tours led by the artist herself at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m. Admission is free, inviting all members of the community to immerse themselves in an experience of beauty, contemplation, and light.
Many of Gaetane’s pieces will also be available for sale at the exhibit and through an online auction. There will also be a gift shop with greeting cards, art prints, notebooks, and more.
Her community will accompany her during the exhibit—greeting guests, and with some members offering music during the chapel meditation.
Meet Gaetane Auger
Gaetane has been a Consecrated Woman of Regnum Christi since 2002. Originally from France, she has served in several countries and now lives in Cumming, GA, where she is the director of her community and spiritual director for Lumen Institute.
Before discerning the call to consecrated life, as a young woman growing up in Paris, Gaetane dreamed of studying at L’École des Arts Décoratifs and becoming a professional artist. Although she had let go of her original artistic aspirations and given away her art supplies once becoming consecrated, painting remained for her a space of prayer and contemplation. As she continued to create small pieces for herself and for her friends, Gaetane recognized that God was returning to her the artistic gift that she had freely surrendered to him many years ago, and in 2021, she launched Art & Contemplation, an art ministry designed to evangelize through beauty.
“Since I have started painting again after leaving it for quite a while, it has been a journey. The art show is a pause to contemplate where I’m at. The Lord has tapped this well, and the spring of inspiration just continues—I’m excited to see what else the Lord is going to be inspiring in the future!” – Gaetane Auger

A Ministry of Evangelization and Accompaniment
Gaetane also offers Prayer & Painting Workshops, which provide a time to disconnect from the daily routine, and pause for a moment to pray and to create. More than a painting class, these workshops teach the art of contemplation, offering a spiritual experience that guides participants to awaken the contemplative gaze. Workshops are open to participants of any skill level, and include guided prayer, a watercolor tutorial inspired by the season, and time for fellowship.
And Gaetane has already witnessed how her art has become a gentle instrument of accompaniment and evangelization. “In this time, I have seen how the Lord has been using this art ministry in my accompaniment with women,” says Gaetane. One recent commission, requested by a couple, became especially poignant when the husband passed away before the piece was completed. Delivering the finished artwork to his widow became a moment of profound grace—a reminder, Gaetane says, of God’s tender timing and the unexpected ways that beauty can comfort and console.
“I was not expecting that this apostolate would bear so much fruit. It has really shown me how the Lord is going beyond what I am able to do on my own. I feel like I have a lot of growing to do in my skill and technique—I’m always exploring, and I’m still learning. But it feels like the Lord is wanting to use this in a special way to touch hearts and to evangelize.”
