This morning as the III Ordinary General Assembly continues, the Consecrated Women of Regnum Christi re-elected Sonia Baldwin as their General Financial Officer for the next six years, expressing their confidence in a term of service marked by responsibility, transparency, and fidelity to the mission of the Society. This re-election recognizes the work done during the previous since 2020, in which Sonia’s professionalism, prudence, and sense of collaboration contributed significantly to strong and orderly economic management, and the accompaniment of key processes of institutional consolidation, always at the service of consecrated life and the apostolic body of Regnum Christi.


Sonia was born in Newcastle, Australia, on April 4, 1981, and made her vows of consecration on March 25, 2006. She has carried out her mission mainly in the administrative and economic spheres, at the service of the mission. Early in her consecration, Sonia served in formation centers and in fundraising efforts, and later as a formation instructor and member of the ECYD team in Chicago. She served as territorial administrator in the North American territory and then as General Administrator in Rome after her election in 2020.
In continuing her service, the general financial officer will carry out her work in collaboration with the territorial and community administrators, under the authority of the general director, and in accordance with the provisions of universal and proper law, as well as the civil legislations in force.
Her main responsibilities include promoting solidarity and a co-responsible, transparent sustainability in managing the the Society’s assets, periodically rendering accounts, and supporting the preparation of economic reports for the competent authorities of the Society, relevant civil authorities, benefactors, and other persons or institutions that should be informed.
Through this re-election, the Society reaffirms its commitment to an administration that is faithful to its mission and oriented to the responsible support of the consecrated life and apostolic action of Regnum Christi.
With Sonia’s election, the structure of the general government for the next six-year term is complete, and is made up as follows:
