A home for the Consecrated Women of Regnum Christi in the Holy Land

By Celine Kelly

The consecrated women of Regnum Christi are celebrating twenty years in the Holy Land, beginning in Jerusalem and then extending their service to pilgrims also in Magdala (Galilee). We are thankful to God for the wonderful privilege of living in this blessed land. What a joy it is to accompany so many groups of people from all over the world who come in search of the Lord and wanting to grow in their spiritual life.

After living in several rental apartments over the years, it was time to look for a permanent home, near Magdala, where we could have the necessary spaces for our consecrated life. We especially wanted to have a chapel for our time with the Lord and a space to renew ourselves in the midst of our intense days of apostolate.

We started by exploring the area until we found a suitable place for our community. Then we share our desire with our friends and benefactors, inviting them to be part of this project. Now, we are pleased to announce that, with the help of more than 100 very generous donors from around the world, our dream has been realised and we have finally received the keys to our house. We are excited to share with you that this Domus Mariae has a moving view over the Lake of Galilee.

We are now taking the next step, adapting the building to the needs of our community. We need to fix some areas that require repair, especially plumbing, electrical, and painting. And what gives us the most joy is to arrange our Chapel so that the Lord is always present among us.

We are grateful to all those who have supported us and continue to help us at this time to conclude this project.

You, your families, and your intentions will be in our thoughts and prayers. We look forward to the day when we can invite them to our home.

May God bless you and reward you a hundredfold.
