Teens experience the EPIC journey of getting to know Christ at St Brendan the Navigator Parish

EPIC is literally a “warehouse” of excitement and inspiration. Breaking the mold of teen youth formation, the team at St Brendan’s decided to add an experience of prayer and praise to the Catechesis given weekly at the parish. An event too big for the parish hall, St Brendan’s decided to think outside the box and host hundreds of teens, along with trained chaperones, parish staff and pastors at a nearby 10,000 square foot modern-trendy local venue called “The Warehouse.” The auditorium has a state-of-the-art sound system, LED lighting system, a stage, and a coffee house.

EPIC evenings feature a dynamic Catholic guest speaker, praise and worship music (including a rap performance by associate pastor Fr Jason Brooks, LC), food and fun activities centered on their faith. Geared towards a lived experience of praise, the goal of EPIC is to be a place where teens can make new friends, have fun and maybe get to know themselves and God a bit better in a safe, friendly place.  Having experienced this EPIC evening, the teens return to Mass and their faith formation sessions each week knowing new friends and bringing a deeper exposure to the love of God for them personally.
