Spring Events at Cheshire Seminary

Spring is a great time to visit the seminary of the Legionaries of Christ in Cheshire, Connecticut. The brothers are throwing open their doors, inviting friends to experience the Joy of the Gospel with them by hosting several events.

Test Your Call retreats (April 1-5, May 22-24) give young men who want to explore the vocational call of Christ in their lives a chance to come and listen to His voice. Over the course of this academic year, over 100 young men have already come to Cheshire to deepen their discernment of the call Christ has for each of them through these retreats.  In prayer, conferences on discernment, spiritual direction and gospel reflections, as well as recreational time with the brothers, young men are immersed in the life of a seminarian. These weekends provide space and silence for Christ to speak in the hearts of those who feel He may be calling them to the priesthood, allowing them to continue their discernment.  For more information contact Fr John Curran, LC vocation@legionaries.org

A Men’s Triduum of Renewal (April 30-May3) is an opportunity for men in the Regnum Christi Movement to get away from the noise and busyness of life to pray and live silence for a weekend, renewing their commitment to Christ and going deeper in their spirituality. The 6th annual Swing Fore Seminarians (May 8) is a fun event that benefits the seminary through a great day of golf at the Southington Country Club. For $150 participants can play 18 holes and enjoy lunch and dinner, while supporting seminarians.  To register contact Candy Nesbit candy@elitetravelct.com, Anne Ciacciarellaanneciacciarella@yahoo.com or Phil Liquori phil.liquori@legionofchrist.org

Fr David Daly LC, the rector of the seminary, also invites everyone to mark September 5, 2015 on the calendar. This is professions day, when seminarians from the Legionaries of Christ who have spent two years of formation in preparation to make the vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience, profess their vows for the first time.  The day will include a Mass and ceremony of religious profession as well as a reception for all guests.  For more information, contact Candy Nesbit candy@elitetravelct.com
